About Us

Tommy's Kitchen is owned and run by husband and wife team Thomas and Kristen Bachmann. They moved from Zurich, Switzerland in 2006 to Orange County. In 2014 they discovered Idyllwild and after just one visit they moved to Idyllwild and opened Tommy's Kitchen. 
Thomas, born and raised in Zurich, Switzerland. Has been in the restaurant business since he was 15 years old . He completed his apprenticeship at a very renowned restaurant in Zurich , completed Hotelfach schule and has been cooking every day since. Kristen, born in Hollywood, California. Moved to Zurich in 1995. She started a waitress job on the boats on the lake of Zurich where she met Thomas and they've been together ever since, working together at their families different restaurants . They have two boys Steven and James.

Artisan Crostini with red onion marmalade and goat cheese.

Smoked Salmon on Sourdough toast with Dill and cream cheese.

Red Bell Pepper Hummus with Pita Chips.

Crostini with prosciutto.

Vegetable Crudites with different dipping sauces.

Salad bar a discretion with Artisan Baguette and Butter.

House salad, Caesar salad, Goat Cheese salad with fresh Beets and Apples.

Prosciutto with fresh Melons, Smoked Salmon with Horse radish and Taos.

Crab & Shrimp Gratin cooked in drawn butter and red pepper Béchamel Sauce.

Cheese Platter (Appetizer or After Dinner) Assorted domestic and imported cheese, garnished with grapes, apples and Walnuts, fresh  baked Artisan bread.

Beef Tenderloin Stroganoff with our traditional sauce served over Pappardelle.

Prime Rib with Port Wine Jus, scalloped potatoes and fresh vegetables.

Beef Tenderloin sauce Béarnaise, Roasted Fingerling potatoes and vegetables.

Marinated Lamb "Gigot" with Garlic "au Jus", Scalloped potatoes and vegetables.

Tommy's Chicken Curry garnished with fresh fruit and Jasmine Rice.

Chicken "Piccata" cooked in a parmesan egg batter with Penne Marinara.

Pork "Cordon Bleu" stuffed with Gruyere Cheese and Ham, Truffle Waffle Fries.

Veal "Wienrschnitzel"  served with Truffle Waffle Fries and vegetables.

Atlantic Salmon with Dill White Wine sauce, steamed potatoes and vegetables.

Seared Ahi Tune with Pineapple Salsa and Pilaf Rice.
